Karen Feldman arrives in the Czech Republic to oversee production at a shampoo factory.

Feldman begins her foray into the Czech glass market by launching her new firm, ARTĚL.

ARTĚL’s first collection appears at the New York International Gift Fair.

ARTĚL earns its first mention in The New York Times.

1999

The Financial Times recommends ARTĚL champagne flutes to usher in the new millennium.

2000

ARTĚL makes its first appearance at Paris’s exclusive interiors trade show, Maison & Objet.

2001

ARTĚL’s private showroom opens in Prague.

2001

ARTĚL glassware appears on the shelves of Harrod’s and Barney’s in Japan.

2002

World-renowned artist and designer Sol LeWitt commissions ARTĚL to manufacture a limited edition of 250 tumbler sets.

2003

Color makes its first appearance in ARTĚL products, with hand painting on selected motifs.

2004

Rolls-Royce commissions ARTĚL to manufacture a commemorative bowl for their 100th anniversary.

2004

ARTĚL motifs become available in colored glass.

2004

The Cooper Hewitt Museum exhibits ARTĚL’s collection of four tumblers by Sol LeWitt.

2005

Rolls-Royce introduces a custom-designed ARTĚL drink set as an option for inclusion in all models.

“Woodland”, a large bowl featuring a hand-engraved forest motif, appears in a numbered edition of 250. It is the first limited-edition ARTĚL original.

2006

ARTĚL collaborates with David Wiseman, a rising star of the American design scene, to create the Glacier Collection.

2006

ARTĚL’s Glacier Vase, designed by David Wiseman, is featured at Cooper-Hewitt Museum’s National Design Triennial.

2007

Karen Feldman self-publishes "Prague: ARTĚL Style" to rave reviews.

ARTĚL opens its flagship store in Prague’s Old Town.

2008

ARTĚL’s limited edition Czech Artists Collection wins top prize at Designblok.

“Prague: ARTĚL Style” is named “Best Travel Guide” at the 12th annual Independent Publishers Awards.

ARTĚL Design Shop is featured in the New York Times article: “36 Hours in Prague.”

ARTĚL is honored at the Czech Grand Design Awards in two categories: Showroom of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.

Elie Wiesel presents, The Foundation Award (made by ARTĚL), to Natalie Portman at their Gala in 2009.

ARTĚL is commissioned by Asprey to create a new crystal collection.

ARTĚL opens a second retail store in Prague’s Mala Strana district.

ARTĚL collaborates with Manolo Blahnik to create a special edition of glasses in honor of their 40th anniversary, to be sold exclusively by Lane Crawford.

ARTĚL wins the Gift & Decorative Accessories Magazine Retailers Excellence Award for Best Store Design.

2012

ARTĚL’s Jungle Baroque set wins best collection award at Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt.

ARTĚL’s Glacier collection, designed by David Wiseman, is acquired by the Corning Museum of Glass for its permanent collection.

Giorgio Armani commissions ARTĚL to create an exclusive set of barware.

Karen Feldman self-publishes the 2nd Edition of

Drinks Cabinet by Amy Somerville, won the new product prize for the show at DECORAX 2013, and she chose to merchandise it with ARTĚL’s Waterlilies collection.

“Prague: ARTĚL Style” is named “Best Travel Guide” at the 18th Annual Independent Publishers Awards.

ARTĚL opens a third retail store located in Prague’s historic Old Town – at Platnéřská 7 – near the iconic Charles Bridge and only steps away from the Four Seasons Hotel.

George Clooney being presented the Arts for Humanity Award (which happens to be an ARTĚL Verdure bowl), by the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity.

Zelouf + Bell, award winning furniture designers, collaborated with ARTĚL to make this fabulous SAKURA cabinet. ARTĚL produced the SAKURA glass panels.

A portfolio of ten fine art prints of beautiful mathematical expressions was created in 2014 by Parasol Press Ltd. In 2016 ARTĚL introduced a set of barware glasses based on these prints, in a limited edition of 100 sets.
